Yoga classes
“I had never done yoga before joining Eluned’s class. We’ve been doing it for a year now (sometimes in person and other times via Zoom) and I really enjoy each class. Eluned makes the classes really interesting, giving the history and meaning behind the names of everything we do and she explains everything really well. I feel stronger, can control my breathing better and I always feel fully relaxed at the end of each class. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.”

“I knew I needed to do something, to help me with my fitness level but also my general health and well-being. I also needed some time out , away from the stresses of life with 3 kids.
“I had very little experience before my first lesson and was probably a little bit sceptical about the meditation side and some of the yoga style. So all in all, I wasn’t really the most motivated student but I knew I needed to do something.
”Eluned was just so patient with us and didn’t make me feel like fool when one of the poses didn't go so well, she also didn’t over praise which can also be off putting. As it was a gentle start at our pace, I started to feel comfortable and increase my confidence and that was half the battle. I have a psychological barrier to sport! When your teacher makes you feel comfortable, you then learn and you do need to ‘learn yoga' that’s why a good teacher is so important. It needs to be someone you click with as yoga and meditation are different to other sports you don’t just follow your instructor. You need to start to understand the relevance of the poses and you also have to trust them as you do put your body into interesting poses .
”Having been doing it for a year now, I do feel that I have come on a long way, we are still going at a pace that suits us but we are getting there and I can see the progress and benefits. I also appreciate the other side of yoga now more. The calming well-being approach and the meditation, to me they are now just as important and I didn’t think I would ever say that. My yoga classes get me ready for the week puts me in a good place to battle through whatever life throws my way.”

Breathing and meditation classes
“I had no experience of breathing exercises before the class, so didn’t know what to expect. What prompted me to join the class was during the lockdown Eluned offered to run a class for charity volunteers and I thought it would be interesting.
”I didn’t realise how useful it would be as you can do it anywhere sitting in a chair, lying in bed it’s beneficial in that you can rapidly feel the benefit and it’s simple to attune to, it becomes a useful tool to counter feelings of anxiety and despondency.

“I had no experience with these types of classes previously - only limited sessions on Pilates, so this was a new thing for me! I was encouraged to take part, after months of stressful workload and basically no work/life balance - this came at the perfect time!
“After the classes I felt incredibly relaxed (and not forced). I learnt how to relax and take things slowly and more systematically - being aware of my breathing and centering myself during stressful situations
“If you’re thinking of starting classes, have an open mind, follow the direction/instruction - it's amazing how by following the steps, you can calm the busiest of minds and enjoy deep relaxation. Ideal for anyone with a hectic & stressful job or circumstance in life. Eluned is AMAZING!”

Chair yoga classes
“The group I joined has been very welcoming. It is a small group which I prefer. Eluned is a very patient teacher and I would recommend her classes if you are thinking of taking up yoga.”

“I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees so usual aerobic exercise now out of the question. I hoped that chair yoga would keep other bits of me flexible.
“Classes have proved beneficial for posture and relaxation - I can get very anxious at times.
“Learning the relaxation/breathing exercises has helped with sleep - I tend to have trouble getting to sleep (except for in front of the telly!), now if I'm unable to sleep I try to concentrate on my breathing and the exercise we do at the end of class.
“To anyone thinking of starting I would say healthwise I have been surprised at how beneficial the class has been. The class is friendly, well organised and welcoming (as a newby to the area), people tend to think of yoga as being too serious for them - but we still manage to have a laugh (usually at ourselves!).”
